The WAGGL Masters

The WAGGL Masters is a annual event run over a designated weekends in the latter part of each year. To be crowned the Masters Champion is one the highest honours in WAGGL.

Round 1 of the Masters championship is played at The Cut and Round 2 at Meadow Springs. Played over two days, all competitors share similar accomodation and expected to partake in the Saturday evenings festivies to ensure a level playing field on the final day.

All prizes are worth double a standard weekly WAGGL round and competitors are expected to bring their own ‘good’ and ‘boobie’ prize to be allocated across the weekend.

Masters Champion No2 – Shaun Roberston

Played on the 15th and 16th of October 2011 at The Cut and picturesque Meadow Springs. If the Innaugurul Masters was a hotly contested affair, the 2nd installement was anything but with S. Robertson building up an unassailable lead on Day 1. Playing to his 13 handicap without losing a ball on a notoriously ‘ball-losable’ golf course, Robertson left the field in his wake to lead by 6 shots going into the final day. Despite a minor blip on the front 9 at Meadows, Robertson went on to claim the title by 8 shots from A. Smith.

Innaugurual Masters Champion 2011 – Jarrad Zen

The Innaugurual WAGGL Masters championship was played on 19th and 20th of March 2011 at The Cut and Secret Harbour golf courses respectively. It has since been rebranded The WAGGL Open Championship.

In a tightly contested affair which was decided on the 36th hole, Zen triumphed over Carter by a margin of 5 shots after the pair started the day even on the handicap. Undoubtedly, a win for the ages.
